This was christmas eve! my favorite night of the year! We handed out presents

and got presents. Grandpa has been sitting on two buckets and then a board, so jenni and mom got him a stool

family is the best part of christmas

every year we take pictures of everybody's family, it used to take up so much time at great grandma's because there were so many people, but now it takes like ten twenty minutes. Jenni doesnt look happy b/c chad woke paigey up...oops!

The twenty second was daddi's birthday! Praise God he made it to 37! we also had christmas at grandmas that night, and i got a new hat and scarf...they are black aren't they cute...tst tsk the hat not emily and i!

Meanwhile its a good thing i had kewl people with me last night b/c i made fun of pretty much everyone. It was worth it. I had a blast! But i saw way more skin and way too much macking...

*opening lines of O Christmas Tree heard in the background* this is how the story goes...including comments from the audience...

Prologue

KiSsEs R sWelL: today was so much fun but very sad...mom and cried Cardinalguy02: why? KiSsEs R sWelL: b/c we got dressed and were all ready (for like our fifth or so year of this) and dads like just think kristina THIS will be your LAST year to pick out a tree with us KiSsEs R sWelL: which sent mom in to tears and she ran off to her room Cardinalguy02: aww KiSsEs R sWelL: and i spent the entire way to Van meter convincing mom it'll be fine b/c i'll be on thanksgiving break to pick out the tree and there will be NO stopping me come our decorating sunday Cardinalguy02: -smile- KiSsEs R sWelL: its tradition and enough traditions in my life have been broken i'm not about to lose my christmas ones... KiSsEs R sWelL: why the smile? Cardinalguy02: i like traditions hehe Cardinalguy02: it's neat you're so dedicated KiSsEs R sWelL: its my family KiSsEs R sWelL: what else would i be

The ACTUAL STORY

KiSsEs R sWelL: *sigh* today was a great day Cardinalguy02: good i'm glad you had fun KiSsEs R sWelL: i'm gonna tell you all about it k? Cardinalguy02: k KiSsEs R sWelL: so i got up and got all ready to go, was having an awesome face/hair day KiSsEs R sWelL: we get in the car and drive to get grandma KiSsEs R sWelL: then we got to the tree farm a wee bit before jen and dad steps in and finds this tree...every really likes it but it doesn't do anything for me so dad guards the tree against enemy shoppers(oops dad thats zach) as the rest of us go on a search for jen Cardinalguy02: lol KiSsEs R sWelL: we find her and then have to hike back five miles in the mud to get to chad and his truck to get the girls KiSsEs R sWelL: emma yells "eny" and runs as fast as her little body could carry her given that (oh no! dads takin a saw to my room and he was just like "OOPS!") body was packed tightly into a lot of clothes and aVERY cute hat KiSsEs R sWelL: so the quest for the holy tree begins Cardinalguy02: aw Cardinalguy02: a perfect start hehe KiSsEs R sWelL: we realized that we should NOT go with the tree previously mentioned because its a nice day and it will take all the fun out of the shopping if we pick the first one we like KiSsEs R sWelL: dad abandons his post at tree 2 (the first trees number) and we start weeving in and out of trees, mom and jenni came to a tree with long soft needles( otherwise and shall be called the pretty floofy trees) and we hold a meeting KiSsEs R sWelL: it is decided that that the sturms will be purchasing a pretty floofy tree KiSsEs R sWelL: of course the children and i get distracted and weave in and out of the trees and laugh at paige b/c she so happily puts her mittens on, grins and pulls them off and waves wildly b/c she likes to touch the needles KiSsEs R sWelL: i taught emma how to hug a treeand we hugged several sad looking trees Cardinalguy02: awww KiSsEs R sWelL: so then i spot her...number 33 KiSsEs R sWelL: she's a beaut lemme tell you KiSsEs R sWelL: so we all encircle and admire, similiar to vultures KiSsEs R sWelL: and decide we ALL like it, of course zach b/c he doesn' tlike anything and wants short needles, and emily b/c shes 11 but the the rest ous liked it... KiSsEs R sWelL: meanwhile jen, chad, paige and emma had dissappeared into the abyss of trees...there was only one way to save them KiSsEs R sWelL: so mom emily and i yelled..."MARCO" and jen of course yelled back "polo" and we found them there was much rejoicing Cardinalguy02: lmao marco polo KiSsEs R sWelL: (we do it everywhere especially target) KiSsEs R sWelL: so we searched for another half hour for a tree for jenni and she endedup picking one numbered 36 meaning! are trees were almost neighbors! Cardinalguy02: consecutive multiples of 3! Cardinalguy02: wow magic! KiSsEs R sWelL: pictures were taken and we trekked back to the garage to look at wreaths, centerpieces, ornaments, santa and hot chocolate KiSsEs R sWelL: now throughoutt he entire search for the tree zach dad and i were engaged in brutal warfare KiSsEs R sWelL: i took a direct blow to the head but in the end one b/c zachs a pansy and cried Cardinalguy02: snowball warfare? KiSsEs R sWelL: it was fun b/c u had to run past the miniscule piles of snow and scoop it up and keep running KiSsEs R sWelL: while darting in and out of trees KiSsEs R sWelL: emma got me good too! KiSsEs R sWelL: *laugh* Cardinalguy02: aww

been awhile...

Its def. been awhile. The play has come and gone and i hadn't posted about it at all, just goes to show how darned busy i am. Well heres a pretty sweet-o pic from practice.
